Le Temple des Arts turns Ouarzazate’s cinematic identity into a genuinely individual small-hotel experience. Rather than repeating one decorative formula, its seven rooms and suites each inhabit a distinct screen-inspired universe: Moroccan storytelling in Sheherazade, ancient Rome in Gladiator, Babylonian Persia in Alexander, desert bivouac references in Arabia, North Indian and Buddhist motifs in Kundun, and monumental Egyptian imagery in Cleopatra. Hand-painted walls, sculptural furniture, fireplaces, tadelakt and marble make the concept unusually immersive—expressive rather than minimalist, and best suited to guests who enjoy character. Outside the rooms, the garden pool offers a calm pause from the dry southern landscape. The spa and hammam operate by reservation, while Out of Africa serves Moroccan cooking in a setting that continues the film-set sensibility. With only seven keys and private parking near central Ouarzazate, the hotel works especially well as an atmospheric base for the region’s studios, kasbahs and onward desert journeys.
